TY the Tasmanian Tiger

Platform: Xbox, PS2, GC

Release: 2003

Position: Production Assistant

Nearing the end of the Soccer Slam project I had come to terms with the idea that I was going to have to move to find a new job with better opportunities for advancement. During my time working with Krome Studios on Championship Surfer I had proven myself a valuable member of the project with a huge amount of potential. So with the desire to move on to a new adventure I was able to secure a position as a production assistant and headed to Australia.

This time marks my transition to the developer side of game making. I was brought on as the second PA for Ty the Tasmanian Tiger which was already in full development. As a PA my responsibilities consisted of assisting with the management of production tasks. Most importantly of which was the tracking of tasks assigned the team and managing documentation such as the GDD.

Between the day to day tasks of production I was also working towards my ultimate goal of becoming a designer. Krome was the perfect place for an ambitious person like myself. The company had a philosophy of not pigeonholing a person. If a team member showed the desire and could prove their abilities they could move almost anywhere within the company.
